With the changing time the demand for part time jobs by the students is also increasing. These part time jobs are not for a monthly basis or half yearly or something but for a day or two. These jobs vary from being a promoter to a hostess or even emcee of the event.
And most of the time we see that these jobs are always in favor of the girls. Girls are called frequently to work and are paid more also than the boys. The payment of a girl for the job is thrice the boy’s payment.
There is no particular reason for this. But the demand is always for girls. A promotion or an event is incomplete without them.
When I started working before two years as a promoter my payment was only Rs.500 and now a normal promoters pay starts with Rs.1000. I always got something new to learn doing these jobs. And as Chennai is developing rapidly the event managing industries are also growing.
But wait….. This is not that easy always. There are few people who exploit the girls and boys. They take their commission from their payments. For some events the man powers don’t pay at all saying that the client was not happy with the performance or the money is pending from the company etc. the youngsters are made to wait for months to get there pay sometimes.
-So I would suggest work only for people you know.
-Don’t get involved in the wrong work.
-Make sure about your payments.
-Don’t share your numbers with unknown people.
-Work only for the time you have been told.
With these I am sure you can survive without any harm and earn a lot. Take everything as a learning experience and challenge. Adjust yourself according to the demand of the job. I am sure you will be recognized for your hard work.
