Chennai Home For IT People

Chennai is growing rapidly so as the surroundings of the city
Chennai is the second city after Bengaluru to have the most number of IT companies in and around the state. It is the most export producing city. The manufacturing companies of the city contribute a lot in the GDP of Tamil Nadu.
There are totally more than 180 companies situated in Chennai. These IT companies changes the full phase of the city’s growth and development. And now Chennai is also developing in terms of infrastructure, communication, transportations etc…
In the coming years there is more number of people expected to come and settle in the city because of these growing IT companies. Already there have been many changes made in the city there are new shopping malls opened. For the transportation Chennai is going to come up with its Chennai Metro Rail project which is going to change the city’s scenario completely.
People here are becoming more users of different technologies. The culture of Chennai is still the same but the style of living adopted by people is different and new.
On the IT corridor of Chennai that is from Madhya Kailash to the full Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) has many IT companies. And in the city’s population more than 40% of people are those who work for IT companies and are residing in Chennai. Multi number of residential areas is developing in Chennai for these people. Near the Moggapir side there are like 10 new buildings come up for these people to stay.
Most of them being North Indians. Chennai will surely be a good platform for them. And soon there will be more changes seen in the city.

Installation Of CCTV

The Besant nagar Elliot’s beach one of the coolest place to hang out in the city. Especially for the youngsters. It has a beautiful church at one end of the beach side with a family restaurant Planet Yumm with different restaurants inside it on the beach.
The beach witnesses a lot of celebrations during festivals and other events. And during this time one cannot move on the road itself, the traffic increases as the area of parking in comparison to the visitors is very less. And in the normal days there are many people who are involved in braking the traffic rules and regulations.
So now the Chennai city traffic police (CTP) has installed CCTV camera on the roads to watch the traffic moving. In order to tighten the security system this is a very good initiative taken by the authority.
This CCTV will help to solve crime also during silent hours. It will be connected to the office set up on the Beach. From here the officer can view whatever is happening. These cameras sophisticated surveillance cameras with night vision facilities. This means that they will be clear even in the night time.
And apart from solving the traffic problems and solving the crime these cameras have also reduced the number of smokers. There number of smokers in public has gone down from 50% to 2 % in the last few days.
Whenever the police see anybody smoking in the public place the people smoking are caught immediately and fined. This is a very good way of keeping track of people involved in wrong things.
Hope the crime in our city is completely reduced and these cameras should be effectively used in the other places or areas also.

Chennai The Most Safest For A Women

Crime in India can never be stopped it can only be controlled that too till a certain extent. One such crime which can never be stopped is eve teasing against girls.
But Chennai is far from that. As compared to other states of India I find Chennai the safest place for a lady. Here you can find women working even for night shifts and getting back home safely.
The state police provide a very safe environment for people to be freely. I have seen only in Chennai the threat of police to a great extent. The police patrol cars are there in each area actively doing their responsibility.
Not only this at the end of each street you can find one police patrolled to protect the locality people against such kinds of crime.
I won’t say that the crime is completely under control because there is news of something or the else but you can feel the difference only when you go to the other states especially North India.
Delhi being the capital of the country is not at all safe. A girl cannot step out of her house after the sun sets. And sometimes even in the day light there are many crime cases occurring. The cases in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are worst as these are little backward states and the literacy level of people is also low. People blame only girls for this.
I am so happy to be a resident of Chennai and I am sure even you are.

The Technology Adopted Recently

BSNL (bharat sanchar nagam limited) is the first telecom operator to introduce 3G services in India. An investment of Rs 2700 crore on the 3G has been done in 700 cities across. Already, 300 cities have been covered in the North and East. In the South, the services have been launched in Kerala, Chennai and Bangalore and will soon be rolled out across Karnataka. It is also expected that the number of telephone connections in the country is expected to touch 600 million in another two months, he pointed out as said by union minister of communication.
3G stands for 3rd generation mobile telecommunications. With this technology in your mobile you will be able to enjoy different kinds of services like-
Voice telephone
Video conferencing call
Mobile internet access
Mobile TV etc
And all these will be at a much faster rate. And the clarity will be crystal clear.
This 3G facility was first adopted in Japan it was available on May 01, 2001. Then in 2008 only India entered the 3G by government BSNL. Followed by the private sector provider like Docomo, Reliance, Airtel, Aircel etc started giving this service.
This service has surely taken India one step ahead in the development field of technologies. And it is expected to grow in the future. Many users have found these services useful and are enjoying with many facilities.

Comfort Of Technology

A cell is the life of people. Everybody has a cell phone in his/her pocket. Cell phones provide lot of facilities to the users. You can make calls, send messages, click pictures, take a video, or even send a multi media message (MMS). And in more cell phones like blackberry and apple one can download things, be online. Indirectly use the cell phone like a mini computer. It is easy to carry anywhere as its light weight, and stylish too.
Adding to all these features is now the customers have the options of Mobile portability. Mobile Portability means the customer can change service provider without changing their number.
They can change from GSM to GSM
                                CDMA to CDMA
                                 GSM to CDMA
It is a very easy process too. All that one has to do is recharge the mobile with RS.19 then send a Short Message Service (SMS) typing PORT without space.
They immediately receive a reply asking which service provider they want to choose and it that’s all. The selected service provider asks for further permission to be able to connect with you. After you clear your bill queries it becomes very easy for you to continue with the new service provider.
This is something very new in the communication development process. Anyone prepaid or post paid customer can switch on to this service.
But on the other hand there are also many problems like this service to get activated may take a longer time as told. But leaving everything behind I think something difficulty will surely be there to gain something good.
It is a very good way of keeping the same number which you don’t want to change and get the services of your favorite service provider.

Metro Rail Project Causing Problems

Chennai is developing in its infrastructure and definitely it should develop. But what these developments leave behind is problems to the commuters. The metro rail project is going on well but this has also caused a lot of problems to people travelling on these roads.
The work is going on in many places like Guindy till Ashok pillar, on the Koyambedu stretch, Saidapet side. And in all the places people are stuck in traffic for a long time. Guindy being near the airport and connecting to the highways is generally very packed but due to this construction the busses done move properly, they are completely stuck in traffic and there is no go also to escape from that place. These constructions of Metro rail bridges have made the roads narrower.
And on the other hand side the Koyambedu side there is C.M.B.T bus stand which connects cities busses and is also the bus depot of travelling busses. A person during the peak hours should think twice before entering that road. Sometimes it takes an hour long time to come out of the traffic jam in these places.
And not only had this, apart from the traffic problem caused there also an increase in
Pollution
Noise pollution accidents etc…
People are just waiting for the metro project to get over as it is expected that the Metro train is expected to reduce the traffic problems of the city. And increase the speed of travel also.

The Road- Where It Leads to?

Chennai is a fast moving city with thousands of vehicles on road. The season doesn’t stop the life of people here. And in the rainy reason it becomes more difficult firstly because there is water al around and no place for the water to find its way. It’s completely blocked. Water is filled till the knee level sometimes.
And the conditions of our roads are even more pathetic as there are many pot holes in the middle of the roads. They are not even closed properly. There have been many accidents taking place due to this negligence of the Chennai Corporation.
The quality of the roads is not good which can be noticed, because once the rain stops all the concrete material is found shattered on the roads causing problems to the moving traffic.
In Adyar the road which is always moving even in the night times was well built but after a rain passed I saw its original condition. Actually the road was never built properly only. It was just polished from the top the surface of the roads was very weak and that was the reason why it was like this.
I even spoke to many people who used this road daily to find out what they feel. And one among them Mr. Pillai working in Rajaji Bhawan Besant nagar said that the same distance from his house which he use to cover in 15 minutes now takes him 30 minutes jus because of the traffic on the Adyar depot main road  that is the full LB road stretch.
Unlike him many others also have the same complain but are helpless and should wait till the next new road is built.
